Q: Can I order swatches of the colors I see in the online shop?

A: Yes.  We strongly recommend you see swatches before ordering, and our swatch service makes this as easy as pie...and free!  You may order swatches directly from our online store.  Any fabric you click on has an ORDER SWATCH below it under RELATED PRODUCTS. Swatches are $5-12/ea. initially, but this is fully refundable with your order when placed within 30 days.   Swatches are shipped within 24 hours of your order.  Also, when you order swatches, be sure and choose the FREE SHIPPING option!

Q: Will you ship overseas?

A: Of course!  Be sure and select the INTERNATIONAL CHECKOUT option when you begin checking out.  You will then choose from 2 shipping methods available from the U.S. Postal Service: Priority Mail International (6-10 days in transit) or Express Mail International (3-5 days in transit).  If you are an International Client ordering swatches, be sure and tick the FREE SHIPPING option. 

Q: How quickly will my order be shipped.

A: We often ship the next day but please allow 3-5 business days.

Q: What method do you ship?

A: UPS Ground for domestic orders and USPS Express Mail International or International Priority Mail for international orders.

Q: What are your shipping rates?

A: Your shipping rates will be calculated when you check out and are determined by your zip code or postal code.

Q: Where does your Silk Dupioni come from?

A: India, Thailand, China and Italy.

Q: Is there a minimum order?

A: No - you can order by the yard.

Q: Is Silk Dupioni suitable for drapery? 

A: Yes.

Q: Can silk fabric be machine washed?

A: You can, but if you do it will lose its sheen if machine washed.  All 100% silk fabric is recommended dry clean only.  You should never throw your silk in the washing machine unless you're the funky sort going for a distressed and deconstructed look.  Dry cleaning is a gentle approach to cleaning though we don't recommend you dry clean any more often than you really have to.

Q: What is the difference between Indian and Italian Silk Dupioni?

A: Indian Dupioni is nubbier whereas Italian Silk Dupioni has a smoother finish. 

Q: Can I return this if it does not work for me for any reason?

A: With the exception of Sale Silks, Drapery Hardware, and Custom Drapery, you may return your purchase within 30 days if you like.  There is a 20% restocking charge on all returns.  You might enjoy checking out what our customers are saying about HYENA in the Customer Comment section. 

Q: If I send you a swatch will you match it for me?

A: Unfortunately we are unable to match your swatch.  We have the largest online collection of silk on the web, so hopefully you will be able to find what you're looking for amongst the collection.

Q: How will I get my refund?

A: When you place your order, simply enter the number we email you upon processing your order in the DISCOUNT CODE BOX of your fabric order and your swatch costs will be automatically deducted from your fabric order. 

Q: Do you offer wholesale prices to the trade?

A: We offer wholesale prices to the public.  Much of our silk is priced at half off of what you pay in your local retail fabric store.  If you are a designer ordering by the bolt, please email for quotes.

Q: Do you have a brick and mortar store -- I'm going to be in Hollywood tomorrow and would like to come by.

A: We are an online store only.  Because we don't incur the costs associated with retail outlets, we are able to offer you the highest quality silks fabrics, trims, hardware and custom drapery for about half of what you'd pay elsewhere.  And just think about it, there's no traffic to deal with, no expensive parking, no waiting in line, and the best part of all, we're open when you want to shop...even in the middle of the night!  The world is increasingly virtual...and that, strangely enough, makes your home increasingly beautiful...at least in this case!
